HAI network in Southern Africa meets

Europe-based HAI contacts interested in rational drug use in Africa, can read about HAI's recent regional workshop on increasing consumer participation in national drug policies held in Johannesburg in June. More than thirty participants from 11 countries came to the meeting to share experiences, discuss their work related to national drug policies and to network with other groups working on drug issues. A summary of the meeting's highlights can be found in the August issue of HAI News. The workshop's proceedings are now being finalised and will be published shortly. HAI-Europe Annual Meeting

The 1998 annual meeting for all members of the HAI-Europe network will be held in Paris from 11-13 December. On 11 December, HAI-Europe will sponsor a one-day seminar examining industry sponsorship in the field of pharmaceuticals.
